I retired in 2019 after 32 years as a public-school teacher in California and Nevada. Teaching energized me and brought purpose to my life. I especially loved the creativity of lesson planning and connecting and learning with my students. To get to this point, I had to learn to set boundaries, ask for help when needed, and be proactive in my actions. This book will guide you there: to rise-above and not be drained, so you can enjoy the best aspects of teaching.
I am a 2015-2016 Fulbright Teacher for Global Classrooms Fellow, and I believe in globally educating students to think beyond themselves and their community and be empathetic of others different from themselves.
Thank you for your support. I have learned that writing a book takes courage. Dream big and follow through. If this book helps educators, I will have accomplished my goal. Please write reviews for Goodreads, Amazon, and Google.
